Electrocardiogram (EKG)
A quick, noninvasive test that records the heart’s electrical activity to evaluate heart rhythm, detect abnormalities, and help diagnose or monitor cardiovascular conditions.
In-Office Testing
Carotid Ultrasound
A carotid ultrasound is a painless, radiation-free test that uses sound waves to evaluate blood flow in the carotid arteries and detect narrowing or plaque that may increase stroke risk.
Abdominal Ultrasound
Supports cardiovascular care by using sound waves to evaluate major abdominal blood vessels, such as the aorta, to detect aneurysms or blood flow abnormalities linked to heart and vascular disease.
Device Monitoring
LINQ monitors are reviewed daily, while Pacemakers/AICDs are reviewed weekly to ensure regular oversight, timely assessment, and optimal device performance.
Coumadin Lab Testing
Coumadin (warfarin) monitoring and INR testing, available in-office or in a hospital setting, to assess blood clotting levels and support safe, effective treatment. In-office testing uses a quick finger-stick for prompt results and personalized medication adjustments when needed.
Echocardiogram (Transthoracic/TTE)
A transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE) is a noninvasive ultrasound test that uses sound waves to create real-time images of the heart’s chambers, valves, and blood flow.
Hospital Outpatient Setting
Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)
An advanced cardiac ultrasound preformed under sedation, using a probe passed down the esophagus to obtain highly detailed images of the heart and aorta for more precise diagnosis and evaluation than standard external imaging.
Stress Testing
A stress test evaluates how well the heart performs under intense pressure or exertion. It uses exercise, medication, or imaging to uncover hidden cardiovascular issues by forcing the heart to work its hardest
Cardioversion
A procedure performed under sedation that uses a gentle electrical shock to help restore the heart to a normal rhythm. This outpatient treatment is provided at Englewood Community Hospital.
